The Marjorie Belles are Vanessa, Natalie and Hannah.

Vanessa reserves the right to vary the line up with one of the other fabulously talented Belles:
Rhiannon Meades | Emily Alexander

Vanessa first heard the Andrews Sisters whilst working in a 1940s tearoom as a teenager, and she has loved them ever since.

At 18 she got sidetracked by drama school, the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, and by subsequent acting jobs, but singing always remained a huge part of her life, so she went to the Royal Academy of Music to study musical theatre. Combining the acting and singing equally has made for a colourful career - from the Rocky Horror Show to the Caucasian Chalk Circle, with bits of TV and film thrown in for good measure.

She finally decided to realise her fantasy of close-harmony singing about love and bugles, and founded the Marjorie Belles, which has been a dream come true.

Vanessa would like to make special reference to the real Marjorie, and honorary Belle, her late Granny, who would have laughed upon hearing that we used her name!

Hannah started singing and dancing at a young age, and even falling off the stage during a production of "Annie" didn't put her off!

Originally from West Sussex, she left for the big smoke to train at Trinity College of Music, studying classical singing among other styles. Hannah then went on to work with companies such as Carl Rosa Opera, Grange park Opera and Thursford Christmas Spectacular.

She met Vanessa at an audition, and after one of the funniest experiences to date they hit it off, luckily neither of them got the job, and Hannah was asked to join the Marjorie Belles.

Hannah is thrilled to be a Belle and if she had lived in the 1940s, singing in a trio is exactly what she would have done.

Natalie's earliest memory of performing in public takes her back 16 years... tears trickled down her face, due to memory failure mid-song. From the midst of the audience, cheers of encouragement, hollered from her devoted family, bringing her back onto the stage and provoking the performance which started her career.

From that moment, Natalie has thrived upon enticing her audience into her world of the singing that she adores. Music is entwined into her soul. Coming from a classically trained background, she has further explored many a genre, and enjoys the freedom and spirit of musical theatre and jazz.

She is now delighted to be a Marjorie Belle, a dream come true for that tearful young girl. Through mature and dry eyes, I now see the world I was made for - the music, the harmonies, the chic style is awakening new senses, which Natalie hopes the audience will be intoxicated by as much as she is.

Taffy Belle, Rhiannon was reared on traditional Welsh close harmony. Every school lunchtime meant choir practise. Just the whiff of marmite sandwich conjures catalogues of glorious music... Indigestion paid off when they won festivals, choir of the year, twice, sang at the Albert Hall, Festival Hall and toured Austria as ambassadors of the Rhymney Valley!

She trained at Guildhall and has worked as an actor/singer/musician all over the shop, but Rhi always gets drawn to a juicy harmonic blend.

She was once a member of The Jammy Tarts, a four-part a capella group that sang arrangements of big band numbers on the London cabaret circuit, dressed in their trademark pink PVC baby doll dresses.

Rhi was thrilled to join the Marjorie Belles team. She loves the romance, swing and cheeky, musical joy of it!

Emily's career started at the age of five when, as an angel, she giggled her way through her first nativity to the continued embarrassment of her mother. After an eleven-year break, her next step in the musical world was fronting a fifteen-piece swing band.

Originally from Halifax, she went on to train at Guildford School of Acting after completing a degree in Music and Drama at Hull University. A couple of UK tours, theatre runs and spots of TV later, her love of close-harmony singing and all things wartime brought her in touch with the Marjorie Belles.

She is delighted to be one of the Belles!
